Foster The People - Torches

Morning World!

I'd just like to keep enlighten people on this up and coming band, Foster The People. I first got hold of their album on a weekend trip to London, where I was hearing they were playing their first UK gig a few weeks after. It was a recommendation from a good friend with good music taste that tempted to buy an album, from a band I had never ever heard of. Risky I know. But once you play this album for the first time, you can never make it your last. Each track is a good as the last. Normally a good album has maybe one not so good track which is slightly boring or off the pace to the rest of the rest of the album, but not with this one.

Just to provide you good readers with a bit of background; Foster The People are an American band, from what I've read, 'Indie-Rock. Formed in the year of 2009, and first wrote a song called 'Pumped Up Kicks' which was the breakthrough single. They first started club gigs in 2010 by emailing fans who downloaded their single on their website to publicise. Once popularity grew, and record deals were signed, FTP released an EP; 'Pumped Up Kicks' which included the popular songs 'Houdini' and 'Helena Beat'.
Their main breakthrough was in 2011, when their recent song (above) and 'Call It What You Want' were licenced for commercial use, which brought more popularity, which lead to performing with such bands a Maroon 5, and the Beach Boys.

And from all of this came the highly addictive, brilliant debut Album 'Torches'. With a good, up-beat vibe to it, this album will impress and will have you blasting its tunes, whether your cruising in the car, or chilling in the rays with a refreshing beverage..Its not the one for disappointing.

This band are making their way to the top with style, so take a listen and don't be one of them boring old farts that misses out on some top modern music...

Enjoy!
